Santiago Ribeiro (Spiral Movement)

"In Santiago Ribeiro´s paintings we are surprised to meet a "wondrous (new) world" - or perhaps not - wich he recreates, using his small figures (male and female) in a constant, restless search, where colour balance is the key. When looking at his paintings, one feels puzzled struck by mixed feelings of duality."

The present painting " spiral movement" by Santiago Ribeiro is really looks like a puzzle !
But so many trials to think about it may lead us to justify its actual meanings. Here, Santiago is focusing absolutely on the woman and his characters and instincts . I actually noticed that Santiago is trying to make women appear as stars of temptation and excitement. He is also concentrating on their sensual attractions, and has kept all these aspects
inside a frame moving only in a spiral way!
The real understanding about women , in my view, is very far from these thoughts. How can we are able to forget the main and most important role of women in our life. what about maternity, the magnificent women in the world, famous scientists, artists, etc...
What about the very strong heartiest feelings initiated from this very important creature.I think that; he actually missed the speech which says : behind every great and magnificent man is absolutely a magnificent woman. Thanks Beatriz for your very valuable additions, that may create valuable arguments and discussions ...

Saludos Lyre.
Dear Kamal I don´t see to the woman like a stars temptation in the artwork of Ribeiro, I see to woman in the same position than the man, how a piece more of a great machine.
